These were Inspired by the Sin City comic book artist Frank miller. The first piece represents our general lives. Written in the top corners is, “What do you have when you’re gone” with the word “Nothing” filling in the canvas space. The first Panel focuses on Love, Lust and sex. Panel two represents material items. I used currency because its so dominant in all our lives. Panel three is a large explosion, representing death and loss. The quote from this next piece was written by a band called, “The Aesthetic” in a song called, “Alive”. The quote says, “Now I lay you down to sleep, I take from you your soul to keep. If you die before you wake, your soul is mine alone to take”. The word “BANG” then covers the canvas space with a man pointing a revolver. Basically someone is about to die, circumstances are unknown its really up for the viewer to decide. The possibilities are endless. Read more!

I wanted to go a different route to represent three very important things that everyone associates with and that’s” Love”, “Passion” and “Life”. The heart is very clear, that it is “Love”. You always see a traditional heart shape <3 however I went a more realistic/darker route. Red roses always represent “Passion”. The rose is probably the most straight forward of the three. I thought blood splatter for “Life” made a lot of sense and concludes the other two as a whole. Blood is the life fuel for the heart, passion is what drives it. Cleaner image is below. Read more!

This was my first attempt at producing some pop art on canvas. I drew most of it on the canvas before hand and then went over with acrylic paint. I’ve made several more paintings and noticed the more I do the less amount of penciling in I have to do on the canvas. Producing this type of content leaves room for mistakes and Im ok with that Song by: Caravan Palace – Rock It For Me remixed by Shiny Mob Read more!
The inspiration for this piece came to me when I was on my way home from work in the city. It was cold and rainy outside and one of the peddlers near the on ramp had an umbrella. Due to the lighting outside all you saw was his silohuette. For a brief moment you could see all the city lights behind him reflecting into the rain puddles. That triggered this very minimalist piece. Read more!
This is an Owl I painted on a 16X20 canvas. Also, might I add that I prefer Acrylic with this style over Oil based paints. Prep work and cleanup with oils (specifically the clean up) I find is a bit of a pain. I produce a piece similar to this that I like to call my “Octomonocle” which you can see HERE and is much larger! Read more!
