Atlas the Titan

When the Titans lost the war against the Olympians, as punishment Zeus had Atlas go to the edge of earth and hold up Uranus(I know…its a funny planet name)  So in this piece I have Atals doing just that though I added chains.  Why chains?  I thought it looked cool 🙂

Love, Passion, Life.

I wanted to go a different route to represent three very important things that everyone associates with and that’s” Love”, “Passion” and “Life”.  The heart is very clear, that it is “Love”.  You always see a traditional heart shape <3 however I went a more realistic/darker route.  Red roses always represent “Passion”.  The rose is probably the most straight forward of the three.  I thought blood splatter for “Life” made a lot of sense and concludes the other two as a whole.  Blood is the life fuel for the heart, passion is what drives it. Cleaner image is below.

A Very Sad Umbrella

The inspiration for this piece came to me when I was on my way home from work in the city.  It was cold and rainy outside and one of the peddlers near the on ramp had an umbrella.  Due to the lighting outside all you saw was his silohuette.  For a brief moment you could see all the city lights behind him reflecting into the  rain puddles.  That triggered this very minimalist piece.

My Wooting Owl

This is an Owl I painted on a 16X20 canvas.  Also, might I add that I prefer Acrylic with this style over Oil based paints.  Prep work and cleanup with oils (specifically the clean up) I find is a bit of a pain.  I produce a piece similar to this that I like to call my “Octomonocle”  which you can see HERE and is much larger!
